If you are interested in postgraduate research in the area of Human Computer Interaction then please contact me. However, I would encourage you to review the areas I publish in, my research interests and those of my colleagues. I would also suggest you read these reports on Being Human: Human-Computer Interaction in the Year 2020 and the importance and impact of computing and computer science on science towards 2020. My Interfaces article from 2011 sums up my view on where HCI is and should be going.

Some of the specific areas I am interested in supervising in 2017 include:
  • Information visualisation and visual analytics
  • The Ubiquitous User Interface: Ubiquitous computing and HCI
  • Wearable and Mobile Interaction
  • Novel Interaction
  • Sensing, Deep Learning and HCI
  • Intelligent User Interfaces
  • Digital - Physical interaction (blending digital and physical interaction)
